Meet the Headteacher

It is my pleasure to welcome you to St Martin-in-the-Fields High School for Girls Church of England Academy.

St Martinís is a truly inclusive school with a strong Christian ethos. We are culturally rich; welcoming girls of all faiths and none. We are characterised by a warm community atmosphere where our girls are inspired to learn and work together within a solid moral and spiritual framework.  I am proud of our emphasis on examination success as the key to the door of future opportunities.

But more than this, our girls will have been educated, not just examined. Through our offer of a broad and intellectually demanding curriculum, a St Martinís girl will develop a positive attitude, have an enquiring mind and be an independent thinker.  Above all, she will possess one of the most important attributes for todayís ever changing world Ė resilience.

Our commitment to academic excellence and personal well-being is total. Our vision is summed up by our motto CARITATE ET DISCIPLINA - with Love and Learning. Through challenge and a supportive, caring environment, our girls shine and grow together, developing their unique gifts and talents both in the classroom and in the wider life of the school and beyond.

We celebrate the strong and positive partnerships which exist between school, families and the community particularly our links with the Diocese, our founding Church in Trafalgar Square and local Church, Holy Trinity.  We are thankful for all external contributions that help us unlock the potential of our talented and exceptional girls to enrich and help broaden their horizons.

I am proud that as a school we nurture and develop spiritually grounded young women who are confident in their social and academic ability, compassionate and ambitious for themselves and others, and know that with Godís guidance, everything is possible.

I extend a warm welcome for you to visit and meet our confident and charismatic St Martinís Girls.
