Sports Day

On Wednesday 12 July we held our annual Sports Day at South Norwood Sports Arena. We began the day with a prayer and opened the event with the Olympic Motto Citius, Altius, Fortius -  Faster, Higher, Stronger!

The cooler, cloudy morning did not dampen our spirits. The energy and enthusiasm which built up and was maintained throughout the day was amazing. Everyone fully embraced the day cheering all competitors from all Houses.

It was extremely competitive in the team sports and sprints and on the field, with many individual success stories. There were cheers and high levels of excitement during the sack race and during the staff sprint and relay. 

There were so many outstanding performances throughout the day. Our students certainly lived up to the Olympic Motto! Seeing all the students and staff engaging in the Sports Day was an amazing sight and we look forward to next year.

The results are still being processed for some of the events and for the overall House winner. This will be announced at our celebration assembly on Wednesday 19 July. Needless to say, it is all looking very close!
