Girls Can Do It Too!

Girls Can Do It Too is a challenge designed to capture the imagination of young girls and inspire them to consider a career in construction, engineering or property more broadly. It  introduces them to project planning, encourages them to think commercially and develop team-working and problem-solving skills, time management, working to deadlines and resourcefulness.

A selected group of students took part in the challenge and were invited to meet some inspirational women within the construction sector and to learn more about the sector in general and the challenge.  They competed against other schools in London and won the construction challenge to design and create a new building in or around London.

The judges were very impressed by their thorough planning, environmental friendly approach and social cohesion attitude towards the buildings of the future.  Congratulations to Shamone, T'Ea, Nina, Annabelle, Maleisha and Fatima!
