Lent 2021

Back to Latest News

Lent is the period of 40 days before Easter and a time when Christians prepare, give something up, and spend time thinking about their relationship with God. Ash Wednesday and marks the beginning of Lent.  #LiveLent: God's Story, Our Story is the Church of England's Lent resources theme for 2021. The daily reflections encourage Christians to think about their calling, how to share their faith and reflect on the difference Christ makes in our lives.

Particularly during this time of being in a global pandemic where restrictions on daily life, the suffering of isolation presents significant challenges, more than ever it is a time for us to share in God’s story and a time to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and follow his call to love our neighbours.  This Lent will be a time to help give hope to those who might otherwise give up.

As a school, we will continue our journey through Lent with #LiveLent daily activities. You may wish to participate at home, you can access the pack from the link and complete the daily challenges as a family #LiveLent family activities.  Visit the Church of England website for more information #LiveLent 2021 church resources: God's Story, Our Story
