World Water Day 2021

Back to Latest News

Forget diamonds, forget gold, water is one of the most precious elements in the world and one we can’t live without.

What is world water day and why is it important?

World Water Day is held annually on 22 March to focus attention on the importance of freshwater and pushing for sustainable management of freshwater resources.  At St Martin's we remember how precious water is and we are grateful for the many different organisations and leaders across the world who are working to ensure that there is clean water for everyone.  As a school we remain committed to thinking about how we can use water carefully and find ways of not wasting this, our most precious resource.
