The American Clock

St Martin's was, once again, delighted to welcome a team from the Old Vic to run a drama workshop in our Drama Studio. The purpose was to enable students to explore a range of rehearsal techniques and to deepen their understanding of the context of ‘The American Clock’, a play by Arthur Miller.

Students learnt about the devastating impact of the Great Depression and began to think more deeply about the UK economy. They went on to see a production of ‘The American Clock’’ the following day. The girls admired the staging and were impressed by the musical and dance elements
