A generous harvest

St Martin's celebrated our annual Harvest Festival on Monday 7th October. It was a great opportunity to put out October theme of ‘Generosity’ into practice. From year 7 up to our 6th form, everyone participated as we filled the school stage with donations.

Our collected items will go to Brixton and Norwood Foodbank as we have done in previous years. Their Director Elizabeth Maytom told us about the new storage facility that the Foodbank have been given, and said that they really need our donations to fill up the shelves. Sadly the Foodbank is seeing a significant increase in the number of people who are coming to them for help.

We want to say a big thank you to our students and their families for being so generous. Your kind donations will make the difference between eating or going hungry for other families in our community.
