St Martin-in-the-Fields High School For Girls - a Church of England School in South London

To launch our new partnership with The Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine (CITCM) at London South Bank University, we are having an early evening event of performances and a Chinese themed buffet. This will take place in the Main Hall.

The Confucius Institute have organised for a group of dancers, musicians, and martial artists to come all the way from China to perform at this special launch event.

Tickets are £1.00 each and go on sale from Monday 24 September. Spaces are limited.

On arrival you will be able to join in a Chinese Calligraphy workshop. This will take place for half an hour prior to the buffet and show. The show will open with a short presentation from the Project Manager at the Confucius Institute (linked to our school) about all the opportunities they offer to us through our partnership of teaching and learning of Mandarin.

Key Stage 3 students are really enjoying learning Mandarin. We plan to take this through to GCSE. Further developments include after school classes for parents and workshops for primary schools.
