Year 11 and Year 12 Psychology students visited the home of Sigmund Freud, one of the founders of modern day psychology and psychotherapy. They got to hear about his life, see where he would treat his patients and even take a look at his famous 'therapy couch'. Year 11 have enjoyed studying sleep and dreaming and have found Freud's theories on dreaming and the unconscious to be both interesting and amusing! This trip was particularly valuable as our Psychology students were able to get a glimpse into the real life of one of the theorists they are studying.
Sunya commented, "I felt Freud's presence in the room!" while Madalena exclaimed, "I've never learnt so much on a school trip!"
