Visit to City Hall

Back to Latest News

On 16 July, a group of Year 7 students leaders travelled to London Southbank to visit City Hall.  Activities included a tour of the debating chamber and offices as well as a Q&A session regarding the roles and responsibilities of the Greater London Assembly. During this visit, our budding leaders of the future developed a deeper understanding of diverse political viewpoints, the role of the Mayor of London and an appreciation of the importance of voting.  Looking forward, this very informative visit has given the girls confidence and encouragement to engage in political debates.  It would be fantastic to see a St Martin's girl become a future London Mayor.
