End of term service

We gathered as a whole school to celebrate the end of term and held our last collective worship in advent at Holy Trinity Church on Thursday 19th December. We continued our tradition of hanging decorations on the Church Christmas tree. The tree was a gift from the school to the Church to thank them for their kind hospitality throughout the year, as they gladly welcome us in for services and events on many different occasions.

Rev Richard Dormandy invited us to reflect on the significant moments in our lives, just as we remember the moment of Christ's birth at Christmas bringing peace and joy to the world.  Mrs Stanislaus told us a Christmas story about a family who used their money to help those in need rather than buy gifts each year which was very inspiring.

The service was a thoughtful and quiet time at the end of a long and busy term, a good opportunity to think about the deeper meaning of Christmas and a reminder to us all that we can use the values of service, compassion, justice and perseverance to benefit our friends, families and communities and shine a light wherever we are.
