We are so delighted that we could hold our Christmas Concert at Holy Trinity Church on Wednesday December 8th.
In the afternoon we held our dress rehearsal, attended by children from Richard Atkins Primary school. It was so lovely to be joined by the younger students, and it gave our performers a wonderful opportunity to perform before a live audience ahead of the official event.
Later that evening we were joined by family and friends at the church for a fantastic programme of Christmas carols and songs sung by soloists, groups and our whole school choir.
The repertoire included favourites such as White Christmas, sung in English and French by Samuela; Away in a Manger, sung by Marta, Lauren Grace, Samuela and Jana and Do You Hear What I Hear sung by the choir. We also enjoyed performances by our guitarists and violin players. Our thanks and appreciation goes to our performing arts department, Ms Wong, Mr Coltman, Ms Huggins and our specialist teacher, and to Holy Trinity Church for their hospitality in letting us hold our event there.
It really was a special evening, a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the message of peace and joy that the angels shared with the shepherds on that night. Our hope is that we all experience that peace and joy for ourselves over this Christmas season.
