Easter Service 2022

Back to Latest News

It was wonderful for the whole school to celebrate the end of term together at Holy Trinity Tulse Hill church with an Easter service. We are very grateful to Rev. Richard Dormandy for welcoming us back again.

It is the first time we have been together at our neighbouring parish church in over two years, so it was a first experience for some of our younger students. We all arrived in our cultural outfits and colours as part of our ‘Celebrating our Cultures’ week, which added a wonderful sense of occasion and celebration.

We had music brought to us by three KS3 choir groups, including a song in Mandarin. Some of our school languages were celebrated as we listened to the Lord's Prayer in Twi, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic.  Ms Okokon reflected on all of the many achievements of the term that has passed and celebrated everything we have to look forward to next term.

As we look to Easter and its message of hope, new life and resurrection, this service marks a joyful new step along the journey of our school life at St Martin's.  We wish you and your families a joyful and blessed Easter.
