Tideway careers talk

Back to Latest News

A group of Year 10 students attended a careers talk by Tideway focusing on Civil Engineering.  As well as learning in detail what it takes to become a Civil Engineer and what careers you can pursue once you qualify, students also learnt about Tideway’s current projects including the Super Sewer and the reasons why London needs it.  They also learnt about other projects such as building the Channel tunnel and a motorway. One of the visiting STEM ambassadors was a 19-year old Civil Engineer apprentice and students were fascinated to hear of their involvement in these projects.
