Commonwealth Service

A group of students were privileged to be invited to the 2019 Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey, held in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Representing nations from across the Commonwealth, our St Martin's girls enjoyed the service, full of wonderful musical performances and an inspirational message of uniting as a family of nations to care for one another, and care for the planet we all call home. Our seats were near the door, so we all got a really good view of Prince William and Kate, and Prince Harry and Meghan as they greeted special guests and waited for the Queen. It was wonderful seeing them so close up. We were caught on BBC camera close-up for the singing of the National Anthem - you can look us up below 15 minutes into the service.
