Advent Hope

Our journey through Advent began with a whole school virtual Collective Worship. We lit our first candle of Hope and said our Advent Prayer.  Thank you to the students in 7A who launched our school ECHO - ‘Everyone Can Help Others’ with a 2020 ‘Reverse Advent’.  You can see the video below explaining how we will give our support and give hope to those in need, especially at Christmas.  We are collecting our food gifts for the Norwood and Brixton Norwood Food Bank.

Our Prayer for Hope

Lord thank you that you came into the world to bring hope to all our sadness and discomfort. 
We pray that your light will overcome our darkest times and give us hope.  
God of compassion, help those in our community who are in situations out of their control, 
where they are destitute, or do not have enough food or have shelter. 
God of love, we pray for the sick, the bereaved and the lives of those who have lost their jobs 
because of the pandemic. Cover them with your Grace and let your light of hope shine on us all. 
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
